It’s the backbone of what the REALTOR® brand is built on, and for good reason. The Code defines a higher level of professionalism and behavior in your duties to customers, the public, and to your fellow REALTORS® over licensees.

Your clients count on you to work with their best interests in mind; other agents rely on you to remain honest and ethical before, during, and after transactions; and the public has an expectation that you’ll be fair and honest when communicating with them. It’s important that you familiarize yourself with the Code of Ethics and how it affects the way you do business. Mainstreet has compiled real life case files related to the most common violations to help you better understand the interpretations of the Code.
