Mainstreet Connects with International Agents in Boston

For the first time ever Boston was the host city for the 2018 National Association of REALTORS® convention this past November. The city who had just witnessed their beloved Red Sox win the World Series the day before saw REALTORS® from all over the world join in that celebration for the start of amazing opportunities to meet others in their industry and to learn how to do their business better.

Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® (MORe) provides their globally minded members with the opportunity to connect with many of the thousands of international agents who attend the convention each year with a MORe Trade Mission that is designed to explore international business opportunities and build agent-to-agent relationships. This year we had over 60 agents participate and, even better, half of the attendees were agents who practice real estate in other parts of the world.

In all, nine countries were represented on the Boston trade mission Poland, Finland, Mexico, Czech Republic, Greece, Denmark, Serbia, Ukraine, and Norway. And, we'll give Ireland’s own, Brian Dempsey, partial attendance credit for joining via facebook live. All participants enjoyed a bus tour through the amazingly beautiful and historic city of Boston, a walking tour of Harvard University, and ended with three property tours.

The Importance of Trade Missions

Trade Missions are an incredibly effective platform for Associations to provide for their members who want to extend and grow their business network opportunities outside of their local niche market. Mainstreet seeks resourceful opportunities to provide these (inbound and outbound) organized activities throughout the year so that our members can learn about specific foreign markets, international investing opportunities for their clients, and most importantly, to help build a trusted agent-to-agent referral system.
